Hae Soo’s Marriage Proposal Count [Scarlet Heart]

Ah, so many marriage proposals from so many handsome princes, what to do?

Hae Soo (IU) has acquired a history of engagements. And all from royalty.

Just when you thought the proposals thrown around on Scarlet Heart: Ryeo were completely exhausted from the storylines. You’ve already lost track? I don’t blame you. Let’s take a look back:

Episode 6: King Taejoking taejo scarlet heart ep6

So, Hae Soo’s cousin, Prince Wook’s wife dies, and Hae Soo and King Taejo (Jo Min Gi) get lumped together for marriage – to the surprise of both. Ah, the politics of engagement.

Hae Soo, in a last resort-moment of desperation, cuts herself to get out of the marriage. Girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

Episode 9: Prince Eun (The 10th Prince)baek hyun exo scarlet heart IU ep9

“Will you be my second wife?”

Prince Eun (EXO’s Baekhyun) offers up this brazenly laid proposal.

“Hell to the no” was pretty much the answer. (Were you expecting anything else?)

Episode 10: Prince Wook (The 8th Prince)kang ha neul

“Will you marry me?”

The proposal from Prince Wook (Kang Ha Neul) hung in air for a split second before the moment was interrupted by Court Lady Oh; thus Hae Soo wasn’t able to answer.

Episode 12: Prince So (the 4th Prince)prince-so-proposal

“Let’s get married.”

As a way of escaping the palace together, Prince So (Lee Joon Gi) offers up this idea. To which Hae Soo declines (and gives back a hairpin).

Episode 18: Prince Jung (the 14th Prince)ji soo scarlet heart ep18

“Let’s go somewhere far away. Just say the word, I’ll get you out of here.”

A proposition also came from Prince Jung (Ji Soo). Although we thought it was just to escape the palace (in Episode 18), it came to fruition as a marriage acceptance (in Episode 19)- ooh! TWIST!

Even Prince Jung looked surprised.ji soo scarlet heart ep19
