That Age Gap On “Radio Romance”

If you didn’t notice any age gaps, you’re lying.

For the record.

Kim So Hyun, 18, and Yoon Doo Joon, 28

Yes, that’s right, that’s a 10 year age difference between our two leads. Sure, Kim So Hyun is playing a character that’s in her early- to mid-twenties, but she looks and is young, compared to her male co-star.

Kwak Dong Yeon, 20

Kwak Dong Yeon is the one on the right (in winter whites). He plays a doctor. I know.

Yura, 25, and Ha Joon, 30

Please tell me this duo will pair up by series’ end.

Jo Byeong Gu, 21, Sim Eun Woo, 25, and Yoon Park, 30

  1. I was actually a bit surprised that they’ve cast Kim So Hyun. I mean she is a great actress, but I remember that there was some backlash when she had a kissing scene with Taecyeon in “Bring it on Ghost”. Ok, back then she was 17 (I think)? But now she is still not of legal age? Unless it is the plus one year count again. And now I’m confusing myself 🙂 But great category. I usually don’t think so much about age gaps, unless I know the ages or it’s blatantly obvious 🙂

      1. Ah, no worries. 🙂 Regarding that topic, there is this article on Soompi, which states how the average age of female leads dropped by 4 years in a time span of just two years. It’s this one, if you are interested: https://www.soompi.com/2017/06/14/average-age-actresses-k-dramas-revealed-dropped-4-years-since-2015/
But honestly, I don’t know why they keep casting very young actresses. It was kinda the same with “Love in the Moonlight”. Kim You Jung is a great actress and did a perfect job and I’d have a hard time imagining anyone else playing her role. Still, they should have casted someone legal.
