Drama Specials

If you’re looking for a mini kdrama treat, just a few episodes or so, here are my top picks.

Killer Girl K aka 소녀 K(2011). 3 episodes.
Seeing Han Groo kick ass will make you forget the fluffiness of female characters in kdrama. Not to be missed.

Splash Splash Love aka 퐁당퐁당 LOVE (2015). 2 episodes.
Kim Seul Gi (Oh My Ghostess) plays a high school student, Dan Bi, plagued with college entrance exams. She gets transported back in time and becomes royal tutor to King Lee Do, played by Yoon Doo Joon (Let’s Eat series). A cute romance perfect for a rainy day. So many fun moments, you can thank me later.

Page Turner aka 페이지 터너 (2016). 3 episodes. This drama special stars Kim So Hyun, Ji Soo, and Shin Jae Ha. An athlete and piano prodigy are dealt a difficult hand but team up to achieve their new goals. Cha Shik (Ji Soo), quite possibly the most adorable meathead you’ve ever seen, focuses his energy on learning how to play the piano, enlisting Yoon Yoo Seol’s (Kim So Hyun) help. It’s lighthearted, cheery, and charming. Enjoy, kdrama lovers.

Twenty Years Old aka 20’s aka 스무살 (2011). 4 episodes.
Lee Da in and Lee Ki Kwang (of BEAST) star in this cozy college romance. Childhood friends meet many years later. There’s awkwardness and self-deprecating moments, kicking at yourself for all the things that come with being 20 years old. Lee Ki Kwang is surprisingly adorable. Curl up with this one with a beer.
